As of August 7, 2025, the Brazilian IP Office (INPI) began offering Fast Track Options for Trademark Analysis. This new procedure allows certain trademark registration applications and related petitions to be processed more quickly.
Fast Track prioritization applies to cases meeting legal criteria, strategic objectives, or public policies established by Brazilian IP Office, supporting innovation and economic growth in Brazil. This applies to both national trademark applications and designations for Brazil under the Madrid Protocol.
Our Advisor Juliana Sborgi and our Partner Dr. Rafael Garutti explain below the Fast Track modalities available for foreign applicants and the documents required for each.
